Job Title: Analyst, Underwriting

JOB SUMMARY: The Analyst, Underwriting will be exposed to a broad range of credit and investment functions, with a primary focus on structuring the firm’s financing agreements with prospective clients. The Analyst will have access to all senior managers of the firm with full visibility of the firm’s span of business activities and will work closely alongside the rest of the Underwriting team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the structuring, execution and maintenance of the Company’s credit investment portfolio inclusive of new transaction execution and existing deal maintenance
- Assist in the structuring and execution of new transactions, which may include detailed review and negotiation of term sheets and related deal documentation, creating memorandums presented to internal committees, engaging and negotiation with third-party service providers, and other deal closing responsibilities
- Existing deal maintenance may include executing amendments, waivers, and renewals, monitoring facility performance, active review of deal documents to ensure alignment with current credit, servicing, operational processes, and working with external legal counsel as necessary to draft and execute documents
- Engineer financial models to provide management and colleagues with insight into investment risk and performance
- Perform research and due diligence on new investment opportunities to evaluate risk/reward profile
- Present investment opportunities to and create investment memorandums for the Investment Committee; clearly articulate risks associated with new investments
- Utilize SQL and Excel to drive data-centric strategic solutions to business problems
- Participate in due diligence meetings as needed (travel may be required)

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in financial modeling
- Understanding of the structured finance and securitization market
